They Are The AMKs

They make it sound like
Failing Chinese
Is something
To be proud of.
The Ang Moh Kids.

Cause everytime
They will readily say
"Wow, my Chinese has improved!"
Or sarcastically suggest
"I didn't know your Chinese was worse than mine!"
They are the Ang Moh Kids.

But it's really not
A big deal.
And you won't get a medal
For doing that.

And so i proudly say
I love Chinese.
I love Gold.
I love Jade.
I love Imperial China.
I love The Forbidden City
The Summer Palace.
Anything Chinese
And my name too.

I love everything
That you find 'old'
Or obiang
But I don't deny
That i listen to Western songs
But at least
I don't go around
Giving myself Christian names
When I'm so not that.

And i tell you
Failing Chinese
Is a disgrace.
Cause the Chinese blood
Is in your veins.

So why are you
Even pretending
To be an Ang Moh Kid?

Cause you are a faker
A pretender
Or whatever.
