9 June 2007, Saturday
I went out with my brothers to CP. Littlebro bought his stuff. Then we had lunch at KFC. Next we went to do a research on the price of face masks. So we went to Guardian. Outside the store there were these 'perforated' glasses on display which claim to help myopia. All along there was only the box, but no glasses. So we tried them on, and it really works, except that you have a vision of a bee. According to the stand, the glasses help in allowing the eyes to work to their extreme potential or something like that. We went in to CHECK IT OUT. 50 for $10. They are those kinda blue surgical ones. Then to Watsons. I bought a fanciful gel eye pack there. Next we dabao Vegetarian Rice for mama at home. Okay. So. After heavy considering, we went into Guardian and got the face masks. One ply, cause Double Ply costs $5.00 while One Ply costs only $3.95.
On the way home we discovered that the masks are shit. They tear so easily like a piece of tissue paper. ALAMAK LAH!
We went home and started packing after a short rest. It wasn't premeditated or anything; we just started packing. Haha anyway i have taken almost half a year to pack my room since the last holidays.
There were frequent TV breaks in my parents' air-conditioned room. Wah shiok. We packed the whole day and finally settled down for dinner, and i totally stopped packing at all. Just watched Jacky on the TV and went to sleep. Had to share a bed with littlebro cause my bed is full of shit. Sobs.
10 June 2007, Sunday
Woke up at 7.40am with a terribly runny nose all cause i slept in air-con. This always happens.
Anyway, today is a Adoption Drive-Cum-Charity Drive at M&M. So i took the bus to M&M with Nicky. We were early, at around 8.45am. Some time later Mady came as well. We had nothing to do at first, so we just helped out at the kennels. (Actually i only gave EYE POWER. HAHA.) Then we were asked to set up the stalls, and we were put in charge(sort of) of the apparel and accessories stall. First we took out a super-duper long stainless steel rod(which is dirty as well), and cleaned the super-duper long stainless steel rod, and placed the super-duper long stainless steel rod on the stands. Next we went to the front and picked out all the saleable clothes. Quite a lot of branded stuff, but they were either too ugly or damaged, eg. sweat stains. Yeah, eew, but Nicky loves them. Then we hanged up the clothes on the super-duper long stainless steel rod, and threw the rest into boxes, sold at $2. [PS. The whole sorting out process is actually very long, but i just summarised it for my own convenience.) And we set up the shoes as well, on inverted boxes. Finally we were (almost) done at 11++am. BUT, K told us that there were still two big bags of clothes in one of the rooms. Alamak. Anything lah. Just throw them into the boxes. Hahaha.
The event officially starts at 12pm, and ends at 5pm. So we see people coming in, looking at our products, but no one actually buys them. And yes, the rehomers brought in the dogs and puppies as well for adoption.
I think we were positioned at the wrong place, where the damn hot sun is. Only us, ok. And we had no chairs at all. But anyway, we didn't really stay at the stall. We frequented the front for the air-com. HA. HA. HA. So we put out the best-sellers in front. But i guessed it didn't really work out.
Then finally a couple passed by, and the Woman asked the Man for his comments, and he apparently liked it as well, and they got it for $10. It's a polka-dotted bustier. Mmm.... it must be a fair night.... for them...
Okay. So the day just went on like this, with no further customers. I just don't understand why. The products themselves are quite good. Maybe people didn't want to wear clothes previously owned by others.
I only know I drank a lot of Mulberry Juice.
At 4pm we decided to change our sales tactic. Nicky and Amanda revamped the appearance of the stall and i rummaged for all the branded stuff in the boxes. BRANDED SALES(sweat-stained or not). Shudder. No much help. SADDED.
We left at 5pm, and were fetched to White Sands Shopping Centre. After browsing the floors, we settled for dinner at Cavana. Black Pepper Fish, Black Pepper Chicken, Black Pepper Beef. Me, fish. Then we took neoprintS and went home. So damn tired. Then Nicky was asking me when i was going overseas again, and i discovered the holidays are ending soon. Sigh. The fun always ends, and i'll be back to my old self again. Okay i shall not think of that now.
Oh yes. Not forgetting that i bought a picnic box at the Jumble Sale. It's those kinda Sun Yat-Sen era woven kinds. So nice, i like it. And i bought some accessories as well, and Nicky got a pair of bedroom slippers.
Yay. What a day! (Spare the poor sales. =D)
