What is Avril Lavigne turning into?
First, she trades her straight brown hair for blonde curls. She dumps her tees, tank tops, pants and sneakers for miniskirts and heels.
Her songs used to mean to her very much. Now she says that she wrote two of the songs in The Best Damn Thing when she was drunk, and that this album was "fun". Now it doesn't matter if the songs aren't written with real feelings.
Look at her Girlfriend MV; she looks like a Pussycat Doll. And oh my god. She dances. What the fucking hell is happening? She's so blonde and so bitchy in it. The music is so damn pop. There's also something different about her face.
Where has the old Avril Lavigne gone? Purely rock, attitude and totally different from other pop stars. Guitar-smashing, jumping on the stage, creating excellent music. I don't see it anymore.
Yeah, she's 22 and married. But why the hell does she have to turn into this? Yeah, she's past her teen angst. I hope it hadn't happened, because her songs were so much real then. I could relate to them all.
I wish that people don't have to grow up.
