As you could intepret from the title, a lot of stuff happened today. But it seems like a lot of things happen to ME everyday. Hahaha.
Ok. So, today i reported at 11am. Shi Yng wasn't there yet, so i sat outside the shop and listened to my (brother's =D) CD player. The mp3 player's touchpad is spoilt after i dropped it a few days ago. Sad.
Shi Yng came and she looked flustered. I didn't talk to her in the beginning. In the storeroom she was mumbling something about losing her keys, and was shuttling between the counter and the storeroom. So i left her alone and stood outside the shop, leaning against the railing and looking about. Looking at people. Then i saw one couple. The girl was wearing a red, short, bareback dress that drooped down to her just above her bottom. She was wearing some kinda white bikini. And i thought she WASN'T wearing anything on her feet. Barefooted. I saw it.
Later Shi Yng called me in and asked me if a police report could be made if her handphone was lost. I told her the police needs the 'ID' for the handphone. Apparently she doesn't even know what it is. Turns out that she had lost her handphone yesterday. She said that she brought out two handphones with her yesterday morning because her prepaid card was empty. Then Siew Foon wanted to borrow her handphone, and she handed her the spare one. She didn't think much about the other one cause she didn't touch it for the whole day. Then, just before the shop was closed, three China women were there to do some shopping. Siew Foon served one of them, and she had taken out two new pieces for that woman cause she assured SF that she wanted them. Instead they left quickly after they came out from the fitting room, with the woman glancing back at the shop. Shi Yng found them suspicious cause they had previously left the tried clothes in the bin after trying, but for the last time, before they left, they had placed them on the spare rack near the storeroom and left hastily. They didn't even say anything or apologise about not wanting the clothes anymore or stuff. Later, only after they closed shop, did Shi Yng find out that her mobile phone was missing. She even went back to the shop to search for it. SHe went back home and searched the house topsy-turvy. But she didn't find it.
Shi Yng suspected that the China women stole her handphone when she was vacuum-ing the floor and while Siew Foon was putting the 'metal'. Makes sense. Cause there wasn't anyone at the storeroom then, and those women were at the closest proximity. And why did they act so strangely?
So SY spent the rest of the morning cursing the women for taking away their hard-earned money and venting out smoke while i listened on. She said the hp was a birthday gift from her boyfriend. I think it was a Nokia 5300 or something like that. It's a Walkman phone lookalike, white colour with orange trimmings. She complained to Pooi Fong about not being in the mood to work, but PF said she shouldn't take her emotions to work and told her to stop giving excuses...
Luckily i wasn't working yesterday. Cause my bag would be hung right beside Shi Yng's. Luckily SF asked for her handphone. Or both would be stolen.
Siew Foon came at 12.30pm today. Shi Yng was obvously very distressed. After things cooled down a lil' bit i told Shi Yng that i had to take Wednesday off. Take medical report and send in the documents. Last day. Yeah. So she agreed. She called her boyfriend and joked that he'll scold me when he comes to pick her after work. I replied,"What? Want to fight ah?" Hahaha.
We laughed like mad for the whole day. And oh yes, I finished reading my storybook today. Artemis Fowl, fourth book. Actually there're only a few pages left cause i've read the bulk before working at Dano and during the past two days. The book's great, although it's a lil complicated. It's not a great problem for me, though. ~_~"
I went out with SF during breaktime to get KFC takeaway using her ill-gotten discount coupons. I told her to get back first cause i wanted to but cheapskate pants. The temporary set-up booth was near Q bread, the bakery. The clothes there resemble those sold at the Metro sales. Nevertheless, hahaha... cheap what... I got a pair of camouflage shorts at $10 and navy blue bermudas at $8.
Then i went back to the shop. Siew haven't start eating cause my original chicken and her crispy ones look the same. Hahaha. So we had out lunch-cum-dinner, and continued to laugh and play jokes on one another for the rest of the day.
Oh yes. After i had just finished my meal and stepped out from the storeroom, Shi Yng called me to the phone. Male. At first i thought it was Jason. But the guy's mannerisms told me they weren't, and i already had a foreboding who it was before picking up the phone. Nevertheless i answered.
Me: Hello?
Male: Hello?
Me: Who are you?
Male: I'm Shi Yng's boyfriend.
Me: Oh...
Male: Er, when is your off day next week?
Me: Wednesday.
Male: Can you change your off day to Tuesday instead?
Me: I have stuff to do on Wednesday. (giggly)
Male: I also have stuff to do on Wednesday.
I said "Wait" and asked SY to the phone. SY explained that I have to take Wed off cause of the medical report and mailing stuff.
Hahaha. Her boyfriend was asking Shi Yng why her friend(me) is so shy. Shi Yng replied,"Aiya, she's a girl. You expect her to say 'Yo, what's up man' ah?" Hahaha, crazy. Actually i was embarassed cause Wednesday is like the off day reserved for SY. Her boy's off on every Wed too. So it's like a weekly day for themselves. But i have to spoil it. From Shi Yng, I got to know that her bf's sister is bringing them to Downtown East this Wed. So that explains why her bf is so persistent. But SY said i'm doing her a favour cause she don't wanna be in swimming costume. Heeheehee.
At night, SY's bf came at 9.30pm to pick her up(she's knocking off half an hr earlier today). Her boyfriend came in(he usually doesn't come in), to the counter, and i was like, so damn guilty. I turned around to face him, scared-ed. It was worse then being caught by the Discipline master. He said "Hello" and i smiled weakly,"I have things to do on Wednesday". HAHAHA. Luckily he didn't say anything else or pester me to change the off day. Phew. Thank god, goodness, and goddess. He sort of complied and went out again. That Siew Foon kaypoh, told him that i wanna fight with him. Wah lao eh.
Shi Yng came back at 9.30pm to collet the keys(we're still only left with one key.) She brought along some kinda cheese sausages. I didn't eat them. I don't like the shape of hotdogs and sausages. Hahaha.
The bus was damn crowded today. I missed one bus cause of the damn traffic light, and i thought there would perhaps be lesser people in thenext bus. After fumbling with the alomost-breaking-down and centuries-old CD player, the bus finally came. And damn it was damn crowded. No single place to sit at all! It was so damn cramped. When people came in at the next few stops, everyone had no personal space at all. One woman was shouting,"Please move inside!" I thought things would get better by the first stop at Sengkang. But no. The bus was still packed. Normally everone would be seated by then.
Woah. This is by far the cramp-est and sweat-iest and squeez-iest ride i've ever taken. =)
Long day tomorrow.
Oh yes. How could i forget.
20 more days.
