Leader

Hey. I've got over my post-secondary school depression. So it's back to the illustration of my daily life again. Haha.

Yesterday I spent the whole day to get accustomed to my new hair colour. Sometimes I forgot that i have got it dyed and get a shock when i look at the mirror.

Today when I arrived at the shop, Rohana told me it is nice. Not bad. At least I haven't got any negative feedback. Oh, there is. Shi Yng says the highlighted streaks look like white hair. Hahaha. There'll be one more up next.

Anyway I am loving my hair colour more and more as time passes. =)

Today I RULED the shop, simply because Suet Ling had gone to Centrepoint and Shi Yng was off today. And Rohana has the least experience in this outlet. Wow I truly enjoyed the authority and POWER. Wahaha. I had to do many things by myself on the spot. Anything goes wrong, it's Me, mE and ME to the rescue. It's great! Whoopee! It's challenging and sometimes I did things that I wasn't sure of. For instance, there is a 10%+5% discount for members buying 1 piece of a regular item. I had to change the price of the article on the computer because the computer can't make 10%+5%. It turns out to be $50.445, from what I got from the calculator. So i rounded up(oops!) to $50.45. Sorry. Hahaha. Then I helped to transfer out a lot of stock. Sometimes I called Centrepoint reluctabtly to seek help from Suet Ling. Hahaha. This is called the Art of Making Use of Suet Ling. Wahaha.

I was so over-zealous and motivated today. I told Rohana to go for break at around 2pm even though it was supposed to start at 3pm. She was hungry. Wah i P-O-W-E-R liao lah. Wahaha.

For today's break, I decided to venture out of TM. I have been walking around this mall everyday since I started working. Boring. So I went out to walk around. I went to the bus interchange. Looked at clothes in This Fashion. Nothing much. I saw this piece of blouse that everyone on the streets was wearing. So precarious. Clothes-clashing, as I would call it. I walked till the end of the shopping area to where the buses are, but still didn't see any KFC outlet. Never mind. I insisted on finding it myself.

I walked through Eastlink Food Court and saw this Ah Beng wannabe at the Western Food stall. Golden hair. We looked each other straight in the eye. Of course I didn't dare buy anyting from him. I shy. Haha.

I found the KFC outlet on the ground floor of a red building. Some kinda government-related or CPF building. Wow. The place is so nostalgic and reminiscent. Maybe because it is very very spacious. SO I got my Zinger Student's Meal(I am still a student!) and sat down to remove all the lettuce from my burger and spring onions from the cheese fries. Eeew... I forgot that I just used my left hand to touch my rainwater-infested shoe and i used it to hold my burger. Oh, gross. Hahaha. There were so many students. Clad in uniforms of different colours. Some in pairs, most in groups. I bet they didn't know I am only one or two years older than them.

On my way back, I walked past Pretty International.(You won't understand what is happening if you don't know what they sell there.) Then came a "Woo!" from behind me. I turned around to see this Malay guy with his friend. Joker.

What the hell. Alano, This Fashion and C.O.A.X all sell the same things. Why make things complicated by creating three different brands?

The driver uncle came around 5pm. Actually I looked forward to his arrival but i didn't know why. Another uncle came before this uncle came. He fixed the light bulbs and went off.
I 'chopped' the shop's stamp on the paper on the blue clipboard. It is about the amount of stock received and tansferred out. Admin stuff. The uncle i was referring to arrived. He shouted "Hello"(the uncle way) and I said "hi!". And, as always, he pushed his trolley into the corner of the shop. I like that uncle. He is so fatherly. Haha. So nice. He knew that I weren't too sure about the procedure, and took out all the slips for me to 'chop'. He helped me to count the amount of envelopes and bank slips(none). Then he needed to take back his clipboard. He said in Mandarin,"Uncle take this ah" I said,"Orh". He said,"All these, Uncle take ah", referring to the slips I chopped on. "Orh". Then he said he is going off and I said "bye bye". Haha. So many details.

Anyway, this is 2nd time doing this. Wow. I feel like I can get promoted to be a supervisor anytime soon if I stay long enough to become a confirmed staff. But I won't, cause I don't wanna get varicose veins. I won't consider retail as a permanent job.

I went on to call the customers whose items had arrived. I even called one who had bought a blouse in October 2006. It has been in the cabinet long enough. I just found it by chance. Even she herself can't remember what she had bought. Haha. She said she'll come take a look, though.

Then there is one customer Rachel who came from another outlet to buy a tube top. She bought a black one and a blue one, and decided to buy another pink one(she didn't want it earlier as it was the display piece, but it was the last one!) I was stumped as to what to do. The receipt was already printed out. She said she was in a hurry, so offered cash to make up for the difference. I requested her to use NETS again(she used NETS for the previous payment) to make it easier for us. Timeout. Shit. Tried again. She went off. I had to do all the void transaction thing. Today the grand total of voided transactions was 3. Hahaha. Later kena complain by the HQ.

Then came a Japan(i figured) lady. She wanted to buy only one piece of the 2 for $30 knitwear. I told her its not worth it. She went to look agian, but returned to say she wanted only that piece. So she got it at $33 for one SINGLE piece of knitwear. Too much money, eh? From this I reckon and confirm that she's not Singaporean. But she messed up the knitwear which i had just folded!

One Malay woman asked me if this brown cardigan had an XL size. I went to search for it at the $20/$23 knitwear table. The clothes were in a total mess. Never mind. I went to look at the sizes. The Malay woman then said she had looked through them all already. You still dare to tell me? I don't really know if she was the one who messed up the clothes, but I was so fed up that I spoke monosyllabic-ally to her and stormed off to the counter to scold vulgarities.

Out of nowhere Joniece(my fiancee) appeared. I was so glad to see her. Haha. So she told me the the wedding preparations were going on well. -_-" Then she told me I should have chosen blue highlights. She mentioned something about getting honey brown highlights but afraid that it would make her looked like an Ah Lian.(I thought you don't like people who dye their hair?) Anyway, joniece, I don't think the colour will lock on cause your hair is too black. Maybe it will turn out to be dark brown.

I was chatting with my fIaNcEe when Rohana called me. There was this Indian woman with her husband who wanted to exchange her knitwear and Rohana was explaining to her that they cannot be exchanged. I explained to her too that it is a company policy. But they insisted because they just bought it. Joniece ended up asking them to come back again some other day during office hours so that we can ask the HQ about it. So I called Jason, as Rohana suggested. Jason approved the exchange and the matter was settled. Phew.

I noticed that my customers buy a lot without me forcing them to try on more clothes. Unlike Suet Ling. Push and push to her customers until we have a mountain-high of clothes to hang back.

Woah. Long entry huh. Haha.
