Ecstasy

Hey guys I'm back! With a BANG! Okay, joking. I guess you guys miss me very much(eg. Joniece) and there are people who told me they enjoy reading my blog(eg. Joniece). I came back to blogging again because of someone(yes, Joniece) and partly cause i'm missing it.

Okay. So you'll get to read about MY LIFE again! Cool right? Now you won't find surfing the net b-o-r-i-n-g.

Today is Saturday. BUT, BUT, BUT I have to go to school for this APEL(Applied Principles for Effective Living, in case you are wondering...) thing. It's some kinda a manifestion of CME lah.

Okay. We waited for a long while for everyone to get assembled. We were supposed to report at 8.30am at LT 24. Later, it turned out that we were supposed to go up to the 4th floor, where there is also a LT 24. What the hell. By then it was 9++am. Finally finally it started. Boring presentation by the lecturer. So we waited, like, one and a half hours, and the whole presentation was half an hour. Alright. Cool. After that we were told to write down what we learnt at Camp Radical on a set of worksheets and we could leave after that.

Ok. So i took 23 to TM. Went to Dano, finding Siew Foon tending the shop alone(it was 11++am). Wow she's now going big on bold makeup. Haha. I left after a while, then went to get stuff from Popular for my project. Thereafter I bought bubble tea and went to wait for my mama near the MRT station. Then these two girls suddenly approached me. (Alright here it comes again. I just can't linger at TM.)

Girl A: Hi, can you spare us some time?
I nodded. =)
Girl B(Suzanne): We would like to ask you to...
Me: Do a survey?
A: No, it's just a... yah...
Then they asked me about what i'm doing there and about my school and stuff. Ok, I was free at the moment, so...
Then Suzanne started to take out a small booklet like those you get from hospitals.
A: Can you tell me what is the purpose of a bridge? (There's a picture of a bridge.)
Me: To link from one place to another? (D-U-H.)
A: Yeah, so a bridge is to link you from one place to another.
Suzanne: So can you tell me what will happen if there's no bridge?
Me: Then you won't be able to cross from one place to another.
A: Right...
Then she proceeded to say something else, which made me realise what they were there for. I KNOW WHERE YOU GUYS ARE FROM! Ok, I can't quit by then.
They say that there is a bridge which links us to God, and the bridge is Jesus Christ. They continued on Jesus dying for us and resurrecting three days later. They wanted to make sure i understood everything. Yes I know what is Good Friday and Easter Day. (I was glancing at the road all the time.) Then it was something about sins(yes i know what's a sin), Heaven and Hell, and more quotations from the Bible. Finally the last page was flipped, where there's a prayer Female A read out. Then they asked me if i believe that Jesus really is the bridge from us to God. I said,"Maybe?" Oh my god I wanted to laugh at that moment. In order not to disappoint them, I replied a lot of "Maybes" and "I don't knows". Oh my god it was hilarious. They asked me why i didn't believe in all these and what I didn't believe in. I replied "I don't know" to both questions and tried to smile it off. I should have said,"Hell yeah! I believe in everything you say!" so that they don't pester me. Okay joking.

They told me they are from the youth group of some church near there.
Thank goodness the car arrived on time and I exclaimed," Oh my mom's here!" They asked for my number, which i didn't give, but i gave my email instead.

What a joke. I'd never imagine myself in a church. A historical site maybe, but not really going in to pray and stuff. But it was very interesting, to learn about other religions and their beliefs. I just don't like people preaching to me. C'mon, you don't see Buddhists/HIndus/Muslims publicising their religion right?

Disclaimer: I am not a racist, not a religion-ist or whatever.

I got on the car, and we made our way to this plaza. (I forgot the name. Golden something, i guess. It's an old mall with Thai wordings everywhere.) My mother bought tickets from Grassland, and we left a while later.

We arrived at the train station. Oh my god it was damn gorgeous. Imean, I have passed by this place a lot of times, but this is the first time I've been into it. Oh my god it was so historical, so Roman, so artistic. You don't find this anywhere else. Ok I'm gonna compile a list of historical places to go to.

The place was quite old and under-furbished/renovated. But that's what i like about it. I think the train station belongs to Malaysia, cause that's what my mother said. And there are a lot of signages that are in Malay, and a Singaporean place won't be so old~. We took a lot of photos. I went inside and was absolutely overwhelmed. There are real artistic paintings of Adam & Eve lookalikes on the high walls, and there's an huge arch in the middle. Wow cool man. My brother and i took a lot of ARTISTIC photos(艺术照 haha). My mother bought the train tickets and we went on to explore the place.

Everything's so manual. The carpark ticketing machine is just like those you find on Malaysian highways. Then there is the Ticket Counter. Wow so olden(and the cashiers are Malays too.)

Then I saw the railway tracks. WOOOWWWWOWWWWOWWWW. N-I-C-E. Fabulous.

By the way i saw some TP Design School students there.

Snapped a lot more artistic photos and left. COOL.

My guess is that neither the Malaysian nor the Singaporean authorities are willing to renovate the place, cause it would only benefit the other party in any other way. So it's just left like that, old and beautiful. I like it~. =D

We went to the temple and i played with the dogs. Went to 7-Eleven. Then I spat out Coke(like a fountain, whoosh!) right at the doodstep of the shop, cause i had too much of a big gulp(no pun intended). Anyway I bought the bottle of coke from another convenience store lah. Then i quickly ran away. HARK HARK HARK.

My brother and i bought a frisbie and played with it while my parents dined. Who knows one could have so much fun with a $2 plastic toy?

YAY! What a happy day.

Gotta work very hard on my project tomorrow.

Here's the list.

Cool Historical Places
1. Train Station (Tanjong Pagar)
2. The Forbidden City (But now it's so plastic with the new paint.)
3. Summer Palace
