Woah. So many things happened today. Ok, one by one...
I walked around Century Square before reporting for work. My handphone rang when I was about to enter Dano. Shi Yng lah. She was worried I would be late.
In between we went o Popular. Shi Yng wanted to get a nice notebook for writing down the Sales stuff. So we got a nice notebook, plain white small stickers, a packet of blue pens, her cola 'can' of sweets, and my Warheads liquid candy.(She paid, but I returned her the money for my liquid candy.) The container is divided into two sections for storing two different flavours. I had watermelon and blue raspberry. Quite sour, but not as nice as the sweet. Now Shi Yng's pondering over the issue of keeping the notebook for herself or using it at the shop. Haha.
There were a lot of customers today. Then, in the afternoon, around 4++pm, Gladys(HQ person), a middle-aged woman, and a middle-aged man walked into the shop. I knew Gladys; she was here before. The other two I figured they were from the HQ too.
The woman was like, strict. Rohana was wearing her jeans and slippers because her black pants were wet, and she couldn't wear her jeans with her black shoes because it would look funny. So the woman called her over and questioned her why she isn't in proper uniform. So Rohana went to change.
After that she helped to serve customers. She and the man 'commented' on some areas of the shop, like all HQ staff do. Then she was complaining about us hanging the belts on the tags on some of the clothes, saying this would block out the brand label. I pleaded guilty for it was my idea to do so.(But hey! I got the idea from someone else!)
The man, meanwhile, told Shi Yng not to put the ladder, steam iron and pail near the fitting rooms(they were at the back of the shop), for fear of the customers knocking them over. ~_~" He pushed them all out to the front, right in front of the potted 'tree'. It was such an e-y-e-s-o-r-e.
Meanwhile we were pasting stickers. I seriously don't know who came up with this stupid ideas of using stickers to label the discount rate of the articles. Yellow are for those on 20% discount, green for 30%, and orange for 50%. So we had to search for the tags, compare them with the tables on the memo, and paste the according sticker. Wow. I was giddy by the time I finished the racks on the left. The man still asked me if know where to paste the stickers. Whose damn idea was it? Somemore it isn't foolproof. So risky. But this means every single piece of blouse/pants/skirt/jacket/t-shirt and some bags are on sale. Come to Dano now, quickly! No wonder Jason told me to wait for one or two more days on the phone. =)
Afterwards they left, with the woman asking when they would be able to leave. Bye bye.
Later I found out that the man was the boss. BIG BOSS, the highest position. And the woman is his wife-LADY BIG BOSS. Hahaha. To think I didn't give a hoot about them. I didn't think they would be so free to visit every outlet.
So the shop underwent a major revamp. Now it's so messy and unorganised. Shi Yng said we gonna pack up the place again.
Break time! Why am I always the one running errands? Haha. I went to McDonald's for my grilled chicken foldover EVM, with free wedges(cause i had the coupon). Coincidentally I was served by a newcomer. There's a red dot sticker on his name tag, and i guess that is their way of telling us he's new at this job. So I ordered, and somehow he thought that i wanted to change my fries to wedges. He took a large serving of wedges for me when it was supposed to be medium. Then I guess he kind of figured that out and took it away to change. Then I was like, "Where are my fries?" He asked another auntie employee for help. Luckily I'm not a fussy customer. Hahaha. I'm considerate. So i sat there and ate, getting colder and colder as I continued. Guess it was because of the air-con vents. Thereafter I got stuff from OCK and Sweetalk for Shi Yng.(She wanted me to get a free McChicken for her but i refused.) I went back to McD to get a McChicken for Rohana. There were a lot of people. Obviously I didn't go back to that new guy. I went to another teenage guy. There was one customer before me, and he had to reach out to the other side to take the straw from the straw dispensing machine. The employee turned to dispenser around to make it easier for the customers, but dropped the empty "McCafe" styrofoam cup on display along the way. I was looking at the cup, the guy, and to the cup again. So i took my order, and while he went off the get the burger, I picked up the cup from the floor. I think he saw it, and he thanked me.(See, I told ya I am a considerate person. Haha.)
After I went back to the shop I realised i had forgotten Rohana's hot water. So I went back to McD, back to the 2nd guy, to ask him for it. They were busy, so he asked me to wait. After two or three customers, the manager walked by and asked me what i wanted. I said "hot water" and the guy was like, "Shit". So he took over the cup from the manger to give me the hot water himself. Poor guy. Haha. I apologised for the trouble and thanked him.
Wow. So much could happen within a 45 mins break time.
Nothing much happened after that. I was folding knitwear at the front. Two tall girls came to look at them, then one took up one or two to see the pattern. She took one to tried, not before flipping up another one. I bear with it. Fold. Fold. Fold. Later she came back to flip up the piece she had flipped up earlier. Bitch.
After that two aunties started messing up my stuff again.(And they just walked away.) I walked to the counter to scold something and returned to complete my task. This job is definitely not suitable for the faint-hearted, the pregnant, and those with cardiovascular diseases. You will explode with rage. Can't people be more considerate? Please, please, PLEASE, for the hundredth time, there's a display stand over there for you to view the samples. Sigh. I hate it even more when people change out of the knitwear with them reversed. Gross. Yuck. And they throw them back to the display table. Sucker. Sigh. Don't buy anything, somemore.
That's all for today. Work starts at 11.30am tomorrow.
