I woke up late today. But I thought I would reach the shop on time, anyway. I prepared a bottle of Milo and rushed off to work.
When I waited for the bus i already know i'm in the danger zone, ie. i may be late. Haha. I quickly got up the bus, quickly looked at my watch for umpteen times, quickly got off the bus, quickly dashed across the road, into the mall, up the escalators, quickly turned the key in the knob, quickly pushed up the shutters, quickly ran to the counter and switched on the computer, quickly pressed the keys and clocked in. AND...
Ah, yes, I was late. Late by one minute. What a waste. I wouldn't be late if the shop was on the first floor. Yeah. IF it was. Argh. I hope they don't deduct my pay.
Xiu Fen came back to TM Dano again. She was previously working here but had been transferred to AMK. Shi Yng was on MC today.
Hui Yan called again. She was telling me something about getting the receipts sent to the office by tomorrow. I couldn't hear her and kept asking her to repeat herself. She then scolded,"Why can't you hear what i'm saying?" I had the temptation to tell her there was some problem with my ear. Well, I resisted it lest i start to laugh. HAHAHAHAHAHA. So before she could say anything further, I told her to wait and went to turn down the volume. Ok. So i heard her instructions but don't exactly understand what crap she was crapping.
One customer bought two sets of 2 for $30 knitwear and asked me to pack them separately in transparent bags. Another customer was looking on and waiting. Poor you. Haha.
Another customer tried on loads of clothes but decided on this white blouse. I recommended her the pink, whisch was quite sweeet. She asked me if i had XXl for pink. Not in my storeroom. I called several outlets to check, but there wasn't any results. So i called the office and they said there wasn't any more stock of this pink XXL anymore, storewide, island-wide, world-wide. Had I known i wouldn't have shown her the pink one. She left without purchasing anything.
Calvin, Vida designer cum HQ Merchandising Department personnel, called and asked me to transfer out some stock. Tomorrow, maybe, when I've finished packing the goods in the storeroom. Now we can't even see the article numbers; just guess and see the pattern when taking out new stock.
Then came this over-enthu customer. She was here with her husband last night, but went off when they smell smoke. But today she mentioned something about catching a movie. So i served her, cause Fizah is no longer working at Dano. She's so jumpy-not nervous kinda jumpy, but jumpy kinda jumpy-and excited, occasionally smacking my arm like a good ol' buddy. Eew. Haha. And she seems to have a tendecy to lift up her blouse(guys, don't drool) to show off her tummy(which isn't really flat or toned). Maybe she was just looking at how the pants fits, I don't know. She tried on a pair of trousers, small size, which fits, but got the medium size which is loose and space-y. Whatever, as long as you feel comfortable(and buy something).
She was choosing betwwen a few jackets and asked for my comments. I told her,"I think this one is sufficient (pointing to the one that is cheaper) and you prefer this one to the others to right?" She agreed, and told me this is what she calls a 'good salesperson'. Haha. Yes I am. I don't care about sales. They won't increase our pay anyway.
In the end her bill amounted to $132.50. Great, but she left me with a whole lot of clothes to pack back. She wanted to exchange for hundred-dollar notes with her fifty-dollar notes. Wow. Rich woman/rich guy's woman. Hahaha.
By then the table was messy like... hell....
I went for my break at 3.10pm. Went to Long John Silvers. Had a Combo 1. Then i walked around and saw a mini crowd at the Oepn Plaza. I went in to take a look. There was some kinda NBA tournament going on there. Small-scale. There were, like, 15 spectators?
Then i went to walk around at 77th Street and Ice Lemon Tee.
Went back to the shop agian and continued to pack, pack, and pack.
My effort finally paid off. The blouse on the mannequin is finally selling. (And it has also brought on the sale of another polka-dot article!) No much effort, really. Haha.
An Indian lady wanted to exchange an item for its colour. Called Jason. Anything, just call him. He can settle everything, anything. I like to call him and disturb. HAHAHA.
Someone from the HQ called and told me about the 'letter' discount.
Around 6.30pm Gladys suddenly appeared at the counter. So she was the one who called and told me about the discounts.
Then she was telling me not to pack goods right now, during weeekends, cause now is the time to do sales. She asked me if it was very important for me to pack. I didn't really think so. So i went back to the storeroomto put anything back. Meanwhile the DVD player went nuts(maybe i had accidentally loosen the plug) and off-ed by itself. Gladys came in and told me "No Chinese songs". Maybe she thought i was changing the discs when i was not. Well i thought of doing that AFTER the songs stopped playing, but not before that. Haha. Don't play lor.
There were a lot of plastic bags full of clothes behind the counter. Gladys was asking me what to do with them . I didn't know, because nobody told me. So I called Shi Yng. She didn't answer. So G called HQ people who came to stock take yesterday. Some were supposed to be transferred out. SY returned the call. So it turns out, after a few missed calls and received calls, that the blue knitwear are to be transferred out while the rest are those without price tags. Xiu Fen had hung some at the back of the shop.
Gladys has a LG chocolate phone. But it's oily. Hahaha.
She said i very jiat lat. Don't know no nothing. Hahaha. I'm innocent! Heeheehee.
She asked me which goods were good-selling. I told her the $16 bags were. Hahaha. What has that got to do with apparel? Hahaha.
Then she found one camisole-lookalike t-shirt which she claims has a wrong cutting.
After an hour she went off. Yay. Freed, at last.
OH! Who knows. I was slacking in the storeroom reading smses when Xiu Fen came in, looking like she was getting new stock, and mouthed something. Gladys appeared behind her, next, saying ther's no more music. Oh S-H-I-T. She had came back with her friend to try on the t-shirt that supposedly had a wrong cutting. So i acted busy, pressed played on the remote control, and went out to serve customers again. G smiled slyly at me once. Chilly....They left a short while later. Lodge a complain against me , please, and get me fired. Haha. That's not gonna happen. They are short of manpower. Wahaha.
At night this McD manager(red blouse) came in with another blue-shirt lady. They took a long time and finally purchased something close to when the shop is closing. Guess they start work at 10pm today.
After work I wandered around before going to the bus stop. Wow it took REAL long. The bus came only at 10.50pm. I waited, like, 15 minutes. =)
I sat down beside a woman who had boarded the bus at the same stop. Then one guy Victor came up at the next stop. She was calling out to him and they started to chat with me in between. The woman was preaching about God, service, church, life, blah blah blah. "God is in control in us", "Why walk around following behind people's backs and walk with them? You should go to church. It's very fulfilling. Don't waste your time", "God is in control in us", "God is in control in us". Missionary? I guess that Victor guy has just converted to Christianity.
Woah. What a day.
And what a long entry.
Twenty-eight days to free-dom.
Oh. Twenty-seven i mean.
