Xtreme Grandeur

4 August - 5 August 2007, Saturday - Sunday

Saturday -finally- the day i've been waiting for. After didi's oral, we made our way to Changi Ferry Terminal. Waited for the bumboats like hell. We were fifth in line. We reached there at 2pm, and only set off at 3.50pm. Oh my goodness. And reached around an hour later.

Took a taxi in, to where the temple was. WOW such was the grandeur and splendour of the event. The procession has barely started as the people got ready for the big event later on. Then it started. My didi and i went around taking videos and pictures. WOW. Then after waiting for a long long time, maybe around 7pm, the wen geng (walking on the streets) started. We visited temples, once walking along a path where it was pure darkness. And we walked very far away, unlike in Sngapore; we have buses for transportation.

It certainly was an eye-opener. It is very village-y, very mundane but yet elaborate. I think hundreds of people were involved. After walking far way off, we made a U-turn, where we got a chance to leave the main group and went for dinner. After that we went back to the hotel. Oh gosh. It was big, like a smaller HDB flat, but there wasn't enough room to accommodate everyone. We took a bath first at one of the Auntie's room. And while waiting to be told where to sleep (they had rooms at the opposite hotel), didi and i went into Auntie's room to watch tv and rest. Somehow we fell asleep. Too tired.

The next day, I woke up, realising that the room has been given to us -papa, mama, didi and I. Woo.

After washing up mama, didi and I went down for breakfast, and went to take a walk. The shores are dirtier since the last time we came. We took pictures and went back to the hotel. And we went to the jetty. 12pm. And we waited and waited and waited. Quite fast today. We got on the boat and went home. SINGAPORE! Half of me was wet by the superb waves. Haha. It was very wave-y that day.

HOME.

And i did my homework for VM, the 5 styles collage.

Whatever.
