MY DAY OFF! (I recently found out from the Sunday Times that 'off day' doesn't refer to the day you have your day off. Check the dict for more info. =>) Finally.
First stop. I went to have lunch at Sin Ming Road with my family. YAY! Long time no eat porridge. HAHAHA. It's delicious! As always. =)
Then my mother mentioned about me going for driving lessons. WHAT? I was shocked. I thought you could only take driving lessons or go for license examinations when you're, like, 18? My papa and mama said that you can, when you are above 16. I was so EXCITED! Driving! For real! No more Daytona races! HAHA! But my mother called to ask her driving coach anyway, for assurance. Nah. 18 is the minimum age. Poof. I knew it. I mean, this is Singapore, okay? How i wish i would get an Alpha Spider(my lil' bro told me about it. it's black and has red seats. cool!) for my seventeenth birthday. Go on a road trip with my friends. Ok... back to topic.
And so we chatted about cars and license plates.
Then we drove to this International Business Park at Juring. I wanted to get the mp3 player repaired. I am absolutely dying without music to accompany me on the bus. Ok. So i took a queue number. Waited and waited. My lil' bro and i went to check out the gadgets on display. He was playing Heli Attack on one of the desktops. I went to fumble with this Podcast, where you can slot your mp3/4 player into it, connect the podcast to your tv, and play music and videos from your player on the tv. I went to play Jay Chou's music videos, and later pressed 'Play' on some music clips. Good quality. Haha.
My phone rang. My mama. So i ran across the carpeted ground. Got my mp3 player to the service counter. The person switched on the player, took out the battery, plugged some stuff into the USB port. And... It will cost $299 to repair it cause the motherboard or whatever board(he said 电子板)is damaged, and since they are no longer producing this model, it costs much more. Somemore the warranty is oh-so-over. Sobs.
So we went off and set off to Ang Mo Kio. Got my haircut, FINALLY! My brother went first, and ran off after his haircut. My turn. Layer, layer, and layer. (I'm keeping my hair long. Takes, like, forever...) The hairdresser even asked me if the weight on my head feels lighter. Haha. Whole clumps of MY hair(brown+black+blonde colour) went on the floor. I guess my hair doesn't look so much like stray hay anymore.
Went down to the temple for a while. There was a new dog in the house. Jacky, brought here because his owner didn't want him anymore after he/she had moved from a private housing to a condo. He's just so small-sized, ok? He reminds my of my little baby darling hamster. Haha. Jacky's adorable, somehow. He's always jumping up and down and holding his turtle soft toy in his mouth. Ah boy(the dog who's been here since he was a baby) has got some companion now.
After that i took bus 262 to AMK MRT interchange. AMK Hub is mostly fully furbished roight now. Gotta make a trip there sometime. I have discount coupons! Ha! Then i took the MRT to Dhoby Ghaut, and changed to NE line. Alighted at Harbourfront. Somehow i stumbled to Harbourfront Centre. But i didn't go there anyway. Actually i wanted to go to Dano, to see Suet Ling's NEW hairstyle. But... no time to lose. So. Bought three magazines. Seventeen(USA) and Jane. They didn't have Arena with Avril on it anymore. One magazine shop had, but it was $17++. HMV had it cheaper. So i took the MRt to Somerset(on the way what). Went to HMV. Damn they had a better version of Under My Skin, with Music Videos. $33. Dammit. Why didn't they put it out earlier? Shit. So i got Arena, which is 'Unsuitable for the Young', and made my way back to Amk, through the squeezy train and the empty bus. The Seventeen magazine is torn! Dammit. Whatever. It's cheaper than those sold at HMV.
We took Jacky out for a walk. He doesn't bite. He's so docile. He knows commands. He's really happy. We're happy too. (But my brother complained that he didn't get to roller-blade cause i went out.) We took him back and went for dinner. Yummy. Fish Head Steamboat. I LOVE STEAMED FISH! Hahaha.
Went home.
We got F.O.U.R. Ramly burgers today(my mama wanted to try and we got another one for my big bro, who's at home, presumbly sleeping) and smelly beancurd. Haha.
Incoming letter from TP again. Dammit. This time it was from the Finance-and-blah department. They said i haven't submitted the hard copy of my online CPF application. Yeah, right. It's more likely you dirtied it. I submitted it ok. I checked and double-checked and triple-checked before dropping in the envelope, you bastard.
I gonna call them and ask and question and quiz them about it. Damn.
I was waiting my hair to dry and so i took out the newspaper to read. Flipped through the main page. Went on to 'Home'. Got a shock. Think shocking kind of shock. The quit smoking ad, remember? Ok, so they've got it on tv(I haven't see it, though), on the boards at the bus stops, and now on newspaper. The newspaper one is by far the most horrifying. So everything's in black and white, except for the lips. Oh my GOSH. Maybe because it's the night. But... great ad, man. Good job. It scared the wits out of me that i would never dare to touch... the newspaper at night. Wahaha. Wah, jin gia lang.
Anyway, i personally think the lips weren't very terrifying. It's the whole facial expression. The whole package. The frown, the eyes. But i applaud the person in the ad. She's really brave to do this. To show the world what smoking does to you.
Twelve more days.
